GroenvermogenNL-ECCM Electrochemistry Graduate School 2026
The Graduate School offers participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of fundamental concepts in electrochemistry and its various applications. The aim is to strengthen an active community in which researchers meet, share knowledge, and learn from one another.
The GVNL Graduate School takes place annually and will celebrate its 6th edition in 2026. This year, the programme spans five days, allowing additional time alongside the scientific sessions for in-depth discussions, interaction, and strengthening professional connections. During the week, researchers and professionals in electrochemistry come together to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and get to know one another better. In addition to the scientific programme, joint and social activities are also planned.
The GVNL Graduate School offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise, expand your professional network, and strengthen your engagement with the electrochemistry community. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or already have several years of experience, this week promises to be an inspiring and valuable experience for anyone interested in electrochemistry.

Han-sur-Lesse Winterschool (in summer) for Physical Chemistry
The next Han-sur-Lesse Winterschool will take place from 22 - 26 June, 2026.
Register here!
The Han-sur-Lesse winterschool (in summer) for physical chemistry has a long tradition to train PhD/PostDoc students of the Netherlands in the basics of static and dynamical aspects of Colloidal, Soft matter, Biophysics, Material science theory and applications. Every year, up to 35 students come to the Belgian Ardennes town of Han-sur-Lesse to learn from distinguished senior scientists from across Dutch universities such as the University of Amsterdam (Ioana Ilie), University of Utrecht (Willem Kegel, Joost de Graaf), Leiden University (Silke Henkes), and Wageningen University (Jasper Landman, Udo Sen).
From Monday to Friday, a series of lectures with a common theme is presented with a shared emphasis on both equilibrium and dynamical aspects. Participants are advised to look at the schedule of the current year for the selection of topics. We expect the applicants to have an MSc-entry level in Physical Chemistry, Soft Matter, Applied Physics, Biophysics, or a comparable study.
Keywords that characterize this school are: state of the art lectures; problem solving; personal coaching; relaxed atmosphere, nature hikes, excellent food (also for vegetarians), socializing drinks, organized transportation from/to Utrecht central station.
For further information about this event, please check the website of the Han-sur-Lesse Winterschool, or use the contact form.
