About 4TU.Impact

Knowledge institutions are at the core of knowledge generation and innovation. In recent years, the four Technical Universities (TUD, TU/e, UT and WUR) have proven to be very successful at this through cooperation with industry and the valorisation of knowledge. By working together as 4TU to valorise knowledge and by joining relevant partners in parts, we create more impact.

The 4TU.Impactplan 2022-2025 contains the goals and activities to generate this impact. The plan builds on the successes and activities of the Impact Plan 2018-2022.

Paul Althuis
Paul Althuis is responsible for knowledge transfer within TU Delft and, from that role, director of the Innovation and Impact Centre and TU Delft's two holdings: Delft Enterprises and TU Delft Services. He is actively involved in several TU Delft ecosystems, such as the Green Village, YES!Delft, RoboValley and Medical Delta.

Sebastiaan Berendse
Sebastiaan Berendse is responsible for developing and coordinating WUR's activities to realise more economic and social value with the knowledge developed. The corporate department includes startup policy (including StartLife & student incubator StartHub), tech transfer/IP services, coordination with WR business development, Sharing Research Facilities & Wageningen Campus development, the Science Shop and Wageningen Dialogues.

Bas Kerkwijk
Bas Kerkwijk is CEO of Novel-T and director of the holding company of the University of Twente. UT has transferred its valorisation activities to Novel-T. UT is one of the five founders of Novel-T. Novel-T helps develop students, startups, scale-ups and researchers as well as strengthen the innovation power of regional SMEs and large companies.

Jeroen van Woerden
Jeroen van Woerden is managing director of The Gate. The Gate is the platform for early-stage tech start-ups. The Gate is a partnership between Eindhoven University of Technology, the BOM, Fontys, Summa and Brainport Development. Business Development at TU/e is a relevant part of this.
