4TU.HTM Funding for
Joint Materials Science Activities
The 4TU.Centre High-Tech Materials aims to stimulate and intensify the academic education, research and development on materials through new collaborations. To achieve this goal 4TU.HTM allocated a substantial part of its budget in 2022-2025 for initiatives that will inspire scientists and students from the Universities of Technology of Eindhoven and Delft, the University of Twente, Wageningen University & Research, and the University of Groningen to develop joint activities and to share knowledge within this field.
Within this framework, limited budget (with a max. of about €k10 per proposal) is available for the organisation of master classes, (international) conferences, symposia, summer schools, graduate courses, cross-lab activities and other small events or initiatives. The budget ought to be spent on the following type of costs: organisational costs, travelling costs, laboratory costs, etc.
Suggestions for such initiatives, organized by more than one of the five universities within 4TU.HTM, include:
- Joint Workshops
4TU.HTM has organized several joint workshop over the last years. Share your topic, let's do this together!
- Graduate Courses and Summer Schools
The organisation of Graduate Courses and Summer Schools is a highly effective way to share expertise and knowledge.

Therefore, the Scientific Director of 4TU.HTM invites you to submit proposals for joint events or initiatives that
- bring materials scientists from different universities within 4TU together to strengthen the field
- extending (international) contacts;
- optimizing the use of experimental facilities;
- attracting attention to materials science;
