Workshop social resilience of diverse societies

Friday, 15 February 2019

Would you like to connect with various members of our diverse societies to enhance your peer groups' resilience in times of crises?

The workshop “Social resilience of diverse societies” will put together people that are representing various parts of this diverse society and live in two European countries, the Netherlands and Germany. In interactive sessions we would like to elaborate on the challenges a diverse society faces in times of crises and what personal coping strategies exist. Building on this, we would like to highlight the opportunities that self-developed coping strategies offer to society and national disaster response strategies. In that way, a “best practice” for an integrative and inclusive crisis and disaster management can be identified and used to serve as a model for policy and decision makers.

Members of 4TU are organizing this workshop with the SmartResilience project on behalf of community leaders in Germany and the Netherlands. If you know of any who would be interested in being involved, please extend this invitation and cc s.m.copeland@tudelft.nl. You can register here. Note that registrations must be confirmed by organizers before they are final, as space is limited.
