Thursday 31 August the second edition of the national Techniekdecanendag took place at TU Eindhoven. The day consisted of a full programme, ranging from updates on developments in the engineering domain to pitches on educational innovation. With a high attendance of engineering deans from all four universities of technology and the RUG.
From the plenary programme with a number of presentations on the latest educational developments and an explanation from NWO-TTW, the day continued with group discussions. TU Eindhoven as a meeting place provided a great opportunity for tours of a number of labs, such as the Nano medicine lab, the concrete printer and the Center for Wireless Technology. After the tours, the group gathered again and the technology deans were given an inspirational presentation on the need of technology promotion and the outreach to school students.
