Hot Hydrogen Issues: The Voice of the Future

Tuesday 7 June 2022 / 10.00 - 17.30

Are you interested in the energy transition? Do you want to express your opinion about the future? And do you also think it is important that Rob Jetten makes the right hydrogen decisions? Then we, Technology Drivers, Gijs and Sophie, are looking for your help! For we are committed to accelerate the hydrogen transition.

The Netherlands has very ambitious hydrogen goals, but at the same time the scaling up of hydrogen production is still lagging. Why is this?

With that question in mind, we entered into discussions with various companies and experts in the past months. During this process, we discovered that the hydrogen narrative is not as straightforward as it may seem. We also saw that it is now really time for the Dutch politicians to choose direction and decide about the role of the Netherlands in the hydrogen economy.

We believe that the opinion of us as students, for whom this is the future, should be taken into account. For this, it is important that the Minister for Climate and Energy Policy, Rob Jetten, hears the voice of the future about the direction he should choose according to us.

We, Gijs and Sophie, cannot do this alone; we need YOUR help to formulate this voice. We therefore would like to invite you to join us in Delft on Tuesday the 7th of June and participate in the case day Hot Hydrogen Issues: the Voice of the Future.

What will we do?

During this day we present our three Hot Hydrogen issues to you. We will do this by means of 3 cases in which experts explain the problems and options. These experts will update you on the latest developments in that area so that you will be able to form an informed opinion. Based on your insights and ideas, we will formulate a conclusion that we will present to Rob Jetten in September.

Unique opportunity

Participation in this day offers you a unique opportunity to make your voice known to politicians. You will also come into contact with leading experts from industry and science and you will have the opportunity to network with professionals, other ambitious students and companies, during the cases and the drinks afterwards. In short: it will be a day to learn, to form and share your opinion, to meet other people and to influence politics.

Which experts you will be meeting, will be a little surprise for now; the line-up will be announced later.

Practical information

The day lasts from 10:00-17:30, including lunch and drinks, and will be taking place in the Co-creation Centre of the Green Village in Delft (Van den Broekweg 4, Delft) on Tuesday 7th of June. This is THE field lab for sustainable innovation in the built environment. Here you can, among other things, see various applications of hydrogen in the built environment.

The number of participants is limited, so register now via this form. You can indicate your preferred language (Dutch or English) in this form; the language the Case Day will be held in will depend on the participants.
