Project introduction and background information

This project aims to design and evaluate – for different engineering disciplines – prototypical mobile-learning assignments, which can be implemented in an authentic way through mobile technology.

Objective and expected outcomes

The project aims to design and evaluate – for different engineering disciplines – prototypical mobile-learning assignments, which can be implemented in an authentic way through mobile technology.

The first phase (working area) of the project focused on the current use of mobile technologies for learning, with the research questions:

1.1. How do experts of the respective engineering disciplines (researchers and teachers) use mobile technology in their teaching and in their research?

1.2. How do students use mobile technology for learning?

In the second phase, the project will focus on the design of mobile-learning assignments and the evaluation of their learning benefits.

Recommendations

This is an ongoing project. More information and recommendations will be published in a later stage.
