Introduction Robin van Emmerloot, 4TU+.CEE UT Coordinator
Robin van Emmerloot works as an educational consultant and coordinates the Learning & Teaching Lab at the University of Twente. He focuses on various educational innovation topics, frequently featuring the integration of technology in learning and teaching. Additionally, he serves as a local representative for the General Educational Union (AOb). Having supported local 4TU.CEE initiatives and events at the UT in the past, he looks forward to stepping into this new role and collaborating with colleagues across the university and the broader 4TU community.

Stefan Kooij joins 4TU.CEE as UT Lead
As of January 2026, Stefan Kooij has been appointed as the new 4TU+.CEE leader at the University of Twente (UT). He succeeds Cindy Poortman, who held this position since February 2021. Stefan is an associate professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology, where his research focuses on experimental surface science and nanoscale interfacial phenomena. In addition to these research activities, Stefan has an extensive track record as an educator and educational leader, actively shaping science and engineering education. He previously served as programme director of Applied Physics and as vice-dean education in the Faculty of Science and Technology. Beyond the university, he is engaged in multiple roles connected to secondary education and is also actively involved in the ChipTech Talent programme.

Hello everyone! My name is Xiaolu Rui. I originally come from China and received my bachelor's degree in English literature and worked as an English teacher in secondary schools there. Then I moved to Oulu, Finland for my master's degree in learning science and educational technologies.

Gerald Jonker joins 4TU.CEE as RUG Lead
As of January 2025, Gerald Jonker, associate professor at the University of Groningen (RUG), Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE), permanently joined the board of the CEE. Over the past two years, Groningen University and 4TU.CEE explored our possible collaboration via a bottom-up approach in joining projects and events. Both CEE and RUG/FSE have recognised the potential of the collaboration and we are looking forward to expanding the partnership in the long term.

Introduction Adina Imanbayeva, UT CEE PhD candidate
Hello everyone! My name is Adina Imanbayeva, and I am originally from Astana, Kazakhstan. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in Hungary. Throughout my studies, I had the opportunity to volunteer and teach in different countries, which deepened my interest in education. Driven by my passion for innovative learning, I moved to the Netherlands to pursue a Master’s in Educational Science and Technology at the University of Twente. During this time I became particularly interested in transdisciplinary learning and creating impact in and through education.
