Practese symposium

Tuesday 21 February 2023

Dear PhD student,

As you may know, 4TU.CEE organizes PhD symposia 3 times per year, together with two other universities – KU Leuven and University of Melbourne. In these symposia, PhD students present their research, that is typically done in the context of Engineering Education. From WUR, this time Melanie van Berkum presents her work on competencies in the Food Technology Bachelor curriculum.

Hence, you are warmly invited to register for the PRACtESE (PhD Research Across ConTinents in Engineering and Science Education) symposium!

When?  21st of February 2023, 9:00h – 11:00h CET, 19:00 - 21:00h AEDT, 16:00 - 18:00h AWST, 21:00 - 23:00h NZDT

Where? Online

More information about this PhD symposium can be found here:

·     Melanie van Berkum, Wageningen University, the Netherlands - Identifying and selecting food technology competencies to implement new teaching and assessment methods

·     Öykü Acican, KU Leuven, Belgium - Experiential learning of structural behaviour and integrated design skills for architecture students

Feel free to share this with your supervisors or other PhD students for whom you think this is of interest.

Kind regards,

The LESEC team together with 4 TU.CEE, the Teaching & Learning Lab in Engineering and IT at the University of Melbourne and the 'Engineering and Science Education, Society and Work' research cluster at the University of Western Australia.
