From 16–19 November 2015, 130,000 specialist visitors from 120 nations came to Düsseldorf to visit the MEDICA. For the first time, the complete spectrum of innovations for out-patient and clinical care were offered by almost 5,000 exhibitors from 70 nations to experts from hospitals, practices, laboratories, the retail sector as well as from industrial ranks and cost bearers.
The Holland Pavilion was one of the many Dutch initiatives at the Medica this year. In this joint pavilion, companies and experts from the Dutch Life Sciences & Health Sector presented themselves to the visitors. Research Centre 3TU.High Tech Systems was one of the participants within this pavilion, presenting 3 innovative set-ups within the Medical / Healthcare sector. During the Dutch Trade Reception on Tuesday, the Dutch minister of Health, Welfare and Sports, minister Edith Schippers and members of Task Force Health Care and Health~Holland visited the 3TU.HTS booth to get an impression of the innovative work that is being done at the 3 Technical Universities within this sector. During her visit the minister showed extensive interest in the set-up’s. She emphasizes the importance of research being done at the universities within the health sector and the importance for society.
