4TU.ResearchData is very excited about the NEXUM project holding its exhibition this spring, from 30 May to 2 June 2024 in Rotterdam at the V2Lab. Nexum is a collaborative initiative between artists and researchers aimed at bridging the gap between art and data representation. The four days of the exhibition will showcase the work of four selected artists working with researchers from 4TU.ResearchData partner universities – Wageningen University Research, University of Twente, TU Delft and Eindhoven University of Technology.
In a data-dominated society, we feel it’s important to reflect on our relationship with science and technology through art and inspire social awareness.
Some practical information on the exhibition:
- The opening of the exhibition is on 30 May from 17:00 PM – it will start with a speech and introductions of the artists and researchers.
- All the artworks will be present throughout the duration of the exhibition. Each day there will be a different performance dedicated to one artwork/dataset and reservations are required – as spots are limited.
- The exhibition and performances are free of charge.
- The overall theme is “data-driven creativity” but each day will represent the theme of one of the discussed data.
The exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for community members to engage in conversations, share their experiences and discuss data-inspired art. For more information, check out the project’s website and the Instagram page.
