Global science and engineering education PhD seminars

Wednesday, 13 January 2021

4TU.CEE together with KU Leuven’s LESEC (Leuven Engineering & Science Education Center) and the University of Western Australia organise the first of a series of international phD seminars on 9 March 2021 (9-11 hrs). In each seminar three PhD candidates will discuss their work with other PhD students and other attendees. Apart from PhD’s also postdocs and senior researchers are invited to take part. We expect two-way benefits, presenters will gain from advice and new links, while other attendees will have a sneak preview in new science and engineering research in progress.

In the first seminar Sofie Craps (KU Leuven) will highlight some of her work on professional engineer profiles as found in the PREFER project. Jane Kirkham investigates factors that influence girls who do or do not select mathematics and science subjects (University of Western Australia). Priyanka Pereira (University of Twente) will kick of the Dutch 4TU contributions with work related to the use of peer feedback in higher education.

More details of these contributions and how to register will be published on the LESEC website.
