A university is involved in research and education, but how is the balance between these two? Is the one more important than the other or not? How do they reinforce each other? These questions were addressed at the Education Day of the University of Twente on 19 October with the theme ‘interplay between research and education’. Participants look back on an inspiring day.
Presentations
Two international keynotes were invited: Maria Knutson Wedel from Chalmers University, and Pedro de Bruyckere, from Belgium. Maria spoke about the topic ‘research on/and education: why, what, when, how’. Pedro’s presentation was on urban myths about learning and education. He also wrote a book about this topic. Besides the keynotes several workshops were also given. 4TU.CEE research was also presented in the workshops. The workshop presentations can be found here and here.
