Lessons Learned in the Bachelor Curriculum Renewal Process

The 20th of April the faculties of EEMCS and Architecture at TU Delft came together to learn from the evaluation of study success in their respective faculties.

The 20th of April the faculties of EEMCS and Architecture at TU Delft came together to learn from the evaluation of study success in their respective faculties. Electrical Engineering and Architecture have been used as case studies for the 4TU.CEE study on comparison of implementing bachelor curriculum innovation.

Researchers Maartje van den Bogaard (ICLON for TU Delft) and Henk Schellen (TU/e) have shared their experiences derived from these case studies and provided participants with a framework for reflecting and discussing their renewed programme (based on the study success curriculum renewal).

Animated discussions amongst participants and feedback showed that the relevance of the parameters were high. Everyone felt that a framework like the one described in the report should be available for curriculum renewal process in the future,  as well as an awareness that contingency planning, involvement of students into the renewal process, a sense of urgency amongst (teaching) staff and content as a tool for development for new venues.
