Adaptive Digital Testing @TUD

Monday, 11 May 2015
Meta Keyzer and Celine Goedee are doing a research into the valid, reliable and transparent applicability of these types of questions in Engineering domains. They specifically research whether students are assessed fairly or more rigid than in regular test situations, whether lecturers are able to pass a reliable and valid judgement on the students results and whether the lecturers have enough skills/knowledge to make these types of questions.

Digital Assessment offers new opportunities in adapting to the learning process of students. Adaptive Questioning is one of the most new and innovative ways to realise summative assessment, including amongst others feedback mechanisms to identify where the students actually go wrong in their though process when making a test question.

We are looking forward to their results of the first pilot run at the civil engineering department.
