  • Initiated by the AI Education Commission and IE&IS taskforce to address the transformation in education brought by generative AI .
  • Develops and disseminates workshops, guidelines, tools, and research initiatives aimed at integrating AI into curricula and teaching methods .

2. Core Activities

  • Workshops: Recent sessions taught educators generative AI tools, prompting techniques, hands-on design of AI-supported teaching materials, and ethics of AI in education .
  • Collaborative Research: Partnerships with ECPAI and IE&IS explore chatbots for academic writing, policy frameworks, and roundtables on constructive alignment in an AI-rich educational context .

3. Guiding Principles & Strategy

  • Emphasizes constructive alignment—aligning learning objectives, teaching activities, and assessment—with full awareness of AI’s role .
  • Upholds robust ethical frameworks concerning data privacy, bias, academic integrity, and maintains critical human roles in oversight .

  • Embedded in TU/e’s broader AI Education platform, aligned with TU/e’s mission for responsible AI adoption.

5. . Vision & Goals

  1. Integrate AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot) in course design, feedback, and assessment.
  2. Enhance AI literacy among faculty and students.
  3. Maintain academic standards and foster human‑centered instruction.
  4. Develop institutional policies for equity, privacy, and ethical use of educational AI.

Summary

  • The Taskforce serves as TU/e's internal think‑tank and operational hub for embedding AI into education—offering practical workshops, frameworks, and strategic governance to utilize AI while preserving educator authority and pedagogical integrity. It addresses both hands‑on use (tools, prompting, materials) and institutional infrastructure (policy, ethics, alignment).
