Birkbeck, University of London is seeking to hire two lecturers in philosophy. Each lectureship has the same job description:
Area of Specialization: Open
Ability to teach in at least two of the following areas is essential:
- ethics of AI
- AI and philosophy of mind
- ethics or political philosophy
- ancient philosophy
- philosophy of gender
- continental philosophy
- engaged philosophy
Ability to start in January 2026 would be a significant advantage.
The positions are tenure-track.
Applications should include a CV, the names of two academic referees, and a writing sample. (The writing sample should be a maximum of 10,000 words and demonstrate your best work. It may be published or unpublished, a journal article, or book chapter or something else.) Please include the writing sample at the bottom of your CV, within the same word document.
