The OZSW chamber Ethics and Practical Philosophy invites funding applications for research and/or educational events in ethics and practical philosophy.
The incentive grants (max. 1000 euro per proposal) aim to:
- Stimulate new initiatives: in particular courses for Research Master and Ph.D. students (including, for instance, grant writing workshops); specialized scientific workshops or more practice-oriented workshops in for example questions of methodology.
- Support existing conference series, summer schools, and/or meetings of major international societies in The Netherlands.
- Promote work by Dutch-based philosophers: e.g. author-meets-critics sessions or book launches in combination with workshops.
Funded events should be organized by and/or held at one of the OZSW’s twelve partner institutions, encourage participation of ReMa and/or PhD students, and take place between January 1, 2026 and July 15, 2027.
Priority will be given to applications that are related to current research activities in the field in the Netherlands and stimulate collaboration between researchers and/or ReMa/Ph.D. students from different universities in The Netherlands.

Applications should consist of a brief description of the nature and purpose of the event and a budget table, including other sources of funding (if applicable).

The OZSW chamber Ethics and Practical Philosophy stimulates and supports academic research and teaching in the Netherlands. It organizes courses for Research Master and Ph.D. students and supports academic research in the field. Applications will be reviewed by the chamber members. We aim to communicate the results by October 15, 2026.
