100 years WU: ‘explore the joy of teaching, improve the quality of education’
The anniversary of Wageningen University is over but the university still links the jubilee to the annual Teachers Day on 11 December!
As the 2018 WU Teacher of the year, Henry van den Brand eloquently put it: "Showing enthusiasm and commitment, sharing personal experiences, by using chalk and a blackboard !" Talking about Blackboard, this year's Teachers Day will also host the launch of the new Learning Environment, the successor of Blackboard. The plans and process for its implementation will be explained.
Join interactive workshops on innovations in education; using assessments as a teaching format, augmented reality, WeConnect interactive screens for tutorials and group work, and you are invited to share your ideas for experimentation in education in the new education building.
