In this session organized by 4TU.NIRICT, we will have a closer look to the role of ICT in the National Technology Strategy (NTS) of the Netherlands. The goal of the session is twofold:

On Thursday, April 16th, 2026, the 5th 4TU/14UAS Research Day on Digitalization of the Built Environment takes place in Enschede and is co-organized by DAT Digitalization and hosted by University of Twente. 

The  4TU Built Environment Domain Acceleration Team Energy Transition (4TU.BE DAT ET) invites researchers from all 4TU+ institutions to join a one-day meetup at the University of Twente. The event aims to exchange insights, align research directions, and further accelerate the Dutch energy transition with 4TU DAT ET projects.

Design United aims to connect  researchers from the four technical universities, collaborate in research with industry and ignite Design Research Debate in the Netherlands.

A special edition of 4TU.Energy Community Day focusing on Education (morning program) and Linked to the 4TU MSc programme - Sustainable Energy Technology 20th Anniversary (afternoon program)

On 28 May 2026, the 4TU.Health Event will bring together leading experts from technology and healthcare for a day dedicated entirely to collaboration and innovation.

The first-ever 4TU–DSO Matching Symposium brings together researchers from the 4TU universities and Dutch Distribution System Operators (DSOs) to foster collaboration at a time when the energy transition requires joint innovation more than ever.

The CAEF 2026 workshop focuses on computational challenges related to energy flexibility, including modeling, algorithms, ICT, and market design.
