Registration form | 4TU.Energy PhD course & Pre-course Pitch Training 2026

The 4TU.Energy PhD Course is an educational event with the theme "System, Sustainability and Societal aspects in the Energy Transition".

The course supports PhD candidates in broadening their understanding of the energy transition and their networks within 4TU, by offering a two-day programme that combines lectures, presentations, workshops, and interactive sessions on timely energy topics, covering both technological and societal perspectives.

The course is designed primarily for PhD candidates from 4TU universities (TU Delft, TU/e, University of Twente and Wageningen University & Research). PhD candidates from other universities, including the University of Groningen, are also welcome to register, depending on availability. Priority is given to PhD candidates from the 4TU universities.

Two-day PhD course 2-3 November 2026 in Utrecht is booked for max.50 participants, FULL=FULL.

Full participation in both course days is required to receive a certificate indicating the learning hours.

Preliminary Program:

In addition to gaining academic insights into the energy transition, participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their communication and pitch skills through an optional online pre-course pitch training from ElroyCOM Training.  The skills you learned can be put into practice during the “Pitch Your Research” session as part of the course.

Online pitch training: participants can choose either 26 October or 27 October, from 14:00 to 17:00. Each session has a trainer and an actor, with max. 20 participants. FULL=FULL.

Please note:

• Registration for the two-day PhD course and the pre-course pitch training is separate. Participants may register for either one or both activities.
• Participation in both the two-day PhD Course and the optional pre-course pitch training is free of charge. As places are limited and funded through the 4TU budget, we kindly ask you to register only if you are committed to attending.
• Please reserve the dates in your agenda after your registration and make every effort to participate.
• De-registration or cancellation means giving up your reserved place and shall be done timely by sending email to 4tu.energy@4tu.nl.
