Sha Lou

I obtained my PhD from Leiden University in biomedicine and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at TU/e on a collaborative project bridging mechanical engineering and biomedical engineering. During the COVID period, while taking the lead in coordinating lab volunteer work, I discovered my strong interest in supporting research and education.

As the Coordinator of 4TU.Energy, I oversee the daily operations of the 4TU Centre for Energy and the 4TU Alliance on Energy Access. I build and support a collaborative community across the four technical universities and partners beyond academia. My role involves translating strategy into concrete programmes, funding instruments, and activities—such as community days, PhD courses, and workshops—that accelerate research and education for the energy transition.

My focus is on enabling interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary teams, connecting people and stakeholders, and ensuring clear and reliable operations so that collaborators can do their best work together.
