4TU.Responsible Sustainability Challenge (2022-2025)
The 4TU.Responsible Sustainability Challenge, a joint effort with @4TU.HTM and @4TU.Ethics, demonstrated that challenge-based learning can bridge the gap between academia and industry, making a real impact. From 2022 to 2025, talented MSc students worked alongside partners such as ProRail, KLM, Twence and the Alliander AI Lab to tackle sustainability challenges. Their solutions ranged from concrete technological innovations to analyses that sparked new conversations.
The 4TU.RSC was not just a programme – it was a transformative experience. It fostered transdisciplinary collaboration and iterative learning. Although the programme has now concluded, its legacy lives on in the form of a greater awareness of sustainability across the 4TU.Federation, as well as a roadmap for future initiatives.
