My name is Nathanael Skrepek and I am an assistant professor at the Mathematics of Systems Theory group at the University of Twente since August 2024.
I studied technical mathematics in Vienna at the TU Wien (bachelor and master) and did my PhD in Wuppertal within the scope of the Marie Curie fellowship ConFlex (https://conflex.org). Afterwards I had 2.5 years postdoctoral period at the TU Freiberg.
My research focuses on partial differential equations (PDEs), particularly with spatially multidimensional dependencies. My interests range from the analysis of existence and uniqueness of solutions to stabilization/stability and controllability/observability in the context of systems theory. The challenges with the boundary conditions that are associated with PDEs caught particularly my attention.
