I grew up in South Africa where I studied theoretical physics up to the masters level at Stellenbosch University. For my PhD I joined the NETWORKS program being supervised by Frank den Hollander and Diego Garlaschelli at Leiden University. Then I did two postdocs, both at the University of Amsterdam, where I worked closely with Arnoud den Boer.
During this journey I became fascinated by environments where multiple agents learn simultaneously. This leads to challenging problems at the interface of mathematics, computer science and economics.
