New 4TU.NIRICT Call to join the European Innovation Academy (EIA)

The goal of 4TU.NIRICT is to strengthen and support collaboration among researchers and practitioners of the 4TU institutes working in the ICT domain. It promotes cross-disciplinary collaboration beyond institutional boundaries, as well as the diversity and inclusion of the Dutch ICT research community. In this way it intends to increase the impact of ICT research in The Netherlands. 

Call for Proposals  
With this call, 4TU.NIRICT solicits applications for: tickets funded by 4TU.NIRICT to participate in the European Innovation Academy 2023, in Porto, Portugal. As in previous years, NIRICT wants to offer students (maximum 5) the opportunity to participate in this 3-week study abroad program about entrepreneurship and innovation. The program provides a mind changing experience in an international and multidisciplinary community where you get the opportunity to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, build your business skillset and stand out in a competitive World.  
 
European Innovation Academy has become a recognized leader in tech entrepreneurship education. The non-profit, educational programs are developed through joint partnerships with professionals from the world’s top institutions; to include Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley, and Google. The program will take place from July 16 - August 4, 2023 in Porto, Portugal.

Procedure 
Are you an ambitious and enthusiastic student who is interested in turning research into business? Then we are looking for you! If you would like to join and therefore be eligible for a ticket worth 2000 euros, you can send a short motivation about your ambition to participate (max. one A4 PDF file) to m.mommers@tue.nl . In addition to the ticket, NIRICT will also fund a maximum of 1000 euros per student for accommodation and travel expenses.  
 
Applications can be submitted until February 8, 2023 and will be evaluated by the 4TU.NIRICT board.  Applicants will be notified of the decision on acceptance at the latest March 1st, 2023.  
 
Please note: Only Master and PhD students of the 4TU and University of Groningen with an ICT profile can apply for a ticket. If funding is awarded, we expect a short summary of your experiences after the program.
