4TU.NIRICT aims to strengthen collaboration, education, and research across the Netherlands in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). To foster the development of future ICT researchers and innovators, 4TU.NIRICT is pleased to announce the Student Conference Attendance Grant 2026.
This grant supports Bachelor and Master students to attend conferences in the Netherlands that are closely aligned with the mission and research domains supported by 4TU.NIRICT.
The grant aims to:
- Encourage students to engage with the broader ICT research and innovation community.
- Provide exposure to cutting-edge scientific and technological developments.
- Facilitate networking opportunities with researchers, industry professionals, and fellow students.
Selected students may receive a grant of up to €1000 in the form of expenses reimbursements.
Eligible expenses include:
- Conference registration fee.
- Travel by train (2nd class) within the Netherlands.
- Hotel or other accommodation costs for the duration of the event according to the rules defined here (https://www.caorijk.nl/cao-rijk/1.-algemeen/hoofdstuk-10/dienstreizen-binnenland). Accommodation support is available only for nights that are necessary for participation in the event.
All expenses must be supported by original receipts and proof of attendance. Reimbursement requests must be submitted via email no later than December 14th, 2026. More information will be provided on the reimbursement procedure to the granted applicants.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student at one of the 4TU+ universities: TU Delft, TU/e, University of Groningen, UT, WUR.
- The conference or event must be located in the Netherlands.
- The applicant must not have a paper accepted or be a presenter at the conference.
- The conference must take place before the end of the year 2026.
- The conference must have a clear connection with the mission and research areas supported by 4TU.NIRICT.

Other eligible events may be proposed by the applicant and will be reviewed by the grant award committee.
Applicants that are awarded a grant will be required to provide a short report describing their experience at the conference and the impact of the experience on them within 2 weeks after the event.
