How does an algorithm automatically distinguish between scans of healthy and unhealthy blood vessels? Can algorithms replace doctors? These and other questions will be addressed in our workshop, specifically designed for high school mathematics and computer science teachers.
In this session, you will learn how mathematics plays a crucial role in medical image analysis and explore the fascinating world of machine learning in medicine.
Why participate?
- Gain hands-on experience with the algorithms and mathematical principles behind image analysis.
- Receive materials to work with students on applying mathematics in medical image analysis.
- Gain insight into how algorithms can contribute to healthcare and how medical professionals may work in the future.
