This event is designed as a focused research exchange platform for young researchers (PhDs, Postdocs, MSc) working at the intersection of Systems and AI : whether their work leans toward hardware-aware AI, compilers and runtimes for ML, distributed/edge inference, learning-based systems optimization, or adaptive resource management.
📋 The tentative program includes:
• A welcome session outlining the Systems × AI vision
• A talk on life beyond PhD
• PhD presentation and poster sessions (short talks with structured cross-disciplinary feedback)
• A panel discussion on shared challenges, evaluation methodologies, and emerging research directions
• Informal networking during lunch, coffee break, and closing borrel
🎯 The goal of the colloquium is to:
• Expose students to perspectives beyond their immediate research
• Provide constructive feedback from both AI and Systems researchers
• Stimulate new collaborations across layers
• Encourage discussion on broad topics, from the PhD journey to common research challenges
Students will gain experience presenting to a diverse technical audience , receive cross-domain input on their work, and better position their research within the broader Systems × AI landscape.
