Examples of possible activities include (but are not limited to):
- Pilot projects co-created with industry or government partners (e.g., proof-of-concepts, demonstrators).
- Thematic “Impact Sprints” tackling urgent societal or industrial questions.
- Short industrial internships for PhDs or postdocs.
- Dissemination or valorisation outputs (e.g., tools, visualizations, videos, showcases).
Examples of possible areas of application (but are not limited to):
- Data-driven maintenance and reliability for energy and infrastructure systems
- AI and simulation for sustainable manufacturing
- Mathematical modeling for high tech equipment
- Uncertainty quantification in climate adaptation and resilience management
- Fairness in digital and AI-based decision systems
Application guidelines
Submit a proposal plus a 1-page budget appendix addressing:
- Who are the applicants?
- Name, position, affiliation (section/department & university).
- Contact person: include email and phone number.
- At least one from the five mathematics 4TU+ institutes are involved, plus at least one societal or industrial partner.
- What will the funding be used for?
- Describe the valorisation or impact project, its goals, and expected outcomes.
- Clarify how the activity connects mathematical expertise to societal or industrial challenges.
- How much funding is requested?
