Call for Proposals

The Dutch government and universities emphasize the importance of innovation in education to increase impact, efficiency, and inclusivity. 4TU+.AMI aims to strengthen and support collaboration among the 4TU+ mathematics institutes in education innovation. To stimulate collaborative projects between the mathematics institutes of the 4TU.Federation that advance these goals, 4TU+.AMI invites proposals for funding in areas such as (but not limited to):

Funding can be used according to the 4TU.Federation spending norms, e.g., for mathematics education-related infrastructure, materials, activities such as evaluation, dissemination and impact generation, student assistants, etc.

Application guidelines

Submit a proposal plus a 1-page budget appendix addressing:

  1. Who are the applicants?
    • Name, position, affiliation (section/department & university).
    • Contact person: include email and phone number.
    • At least two institutes from the five mathematics 4TU+ institutes are involved in the proposal. Projects must indicate how they will enrich the 4TU+.AMI community.
  2. What will the funding be used for?
    • Describe the education innovation project, its goals, and why funding is needed.
  3. How much funding is requested?
    • Total budget available for this call: €70K. Max per project: €20K.
    • Include a contextualized breakdown of costs (a separate 1-page budget appendix).
  4.  Why is it supporting 4TU+.AMI?
    • Statement on the impact and the alignment with 4TU+.AMI.
  5. When will the activity be carried out?
    • Provide a timeline. Funds must be used before November 30, 2026.

Evaluation criteria

  1. Contribution to 4TU+.AMI ("Why").
  2. Specificity of project scope and planning ("What" & "When").
  3. Appropriateness of budget requested ("How much").
