4TU.GreenSensors recently took part in the Intelligent Agriculture Summer School at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), highlighting the potential of biodegradable sensing technologies to support the future of sustainable agriculture.
The summer school brought together 43 participants from 21 countries, ranging from recent graduates to experienced professionals. Attendees represented a diverse range of disciplines, including agricultural sciences, artificial intelligence, computer science, and agribusiness.
As part of the programme, participants were introduced to the key components of the 4TU.GreenSensors project: biodegradable sensors for agriculture; biodegradable materials and synthesis; electronics and sensor systems; antennas and communication; and soft robotics for autonomous sensor deployment.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge across disciplines and explore how innovative sensing technologies can contribute to smarter and more sustainable farming systems.
Thanks to the complementary team of Tenure Trackers and Wageningen Academy for their support in making the summer school possible.
