Design Education

Design Research plays a pivotal role in the development of innovative solutions to complex social and economic issues. In order to meet the growing challenges of an ever-changing world, design practitioners must continuously be equipped with the latest tools, concepts, and methods.

What we do

Design United tables the latest topics in Design Research and so serves as a rich resource for design education. We provide platforms for students to showcase their design research work and facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences within the larger design community.

Masterclass: Writing a Journal Paper

Academic paper writing is an art in itself. For all 4TU academic staff members who would like to receive guidance in writing their papers, dr. Rick Schifferstein (TU Delft) will teach his successful writing course again from November 2025 until April 2026. 

The course focuses mainly on writing empirical papers reporting user studies, but adjoining topics are welcome as well. Participants will work on their papers during the course and provide each other with feedback.
