The 4TU Built Environment Domain Acceleration Team Energy Transition (4TU.BE DAT ET) invites researchers from all 4TU+ institutions to join a one-day meetup at the University of Twente. The event aims to exchange insights, align research directions, and further accelerate the Dutch energy transition with 4TU DAT ET projects.
After the successful meetup at the TU Eindhoven last November, this event is the third stop of the DAT Energy Transition Tour across the four Dutch Technical Universities.
By continuing the momentum , the 4TU DAT ET further strengthens collaboration across disciplines and institutions in the built environment. The outcomes of the meetup will directly contribute to (long-term) implementation of the built environment’s projects, shaping of the role of 4TU.BE DAT ET in the Dutch energy transition and refining shared research directions between all 4TU+ institutions.
This event builds on the strong foundation of collaboration within 4TU+, fostering meaningful academic connections and supporting the societal mission towards a sustainable energy future.

DAT Energy Transition Tour:
The DAT Energy Transition Tour is a collaborative initiative aimed at strengthening the community and fostering ecosystem development across the four Dutch Technical Universities. Through these campus engagements, DAT Energy Transition seeks to catalyze interdisciplinary collaboration and accelerate progress in the energy transition.
The tour began in Spring of 2025 at the Green Village on the TU Delft campus, serving as a vibrant launchpad for dialogue and innovation. The momentum continued with the visit to TU Eindhoven, further defining the long term vision of the DAT Energy Transition and connecting researchers, students, and stakeholders around energy transition challenges. The Meetup in Twente continous with impact creation through projects, marking the third stop of the DAT Energy Transition Tour across the netherlands. Later this year, the DAT Energy Transition Tour will also visit Wageningen University.
