At the beginning of march, we presented our very first REDESIGN Expo in the Green Room of Atlas (main building Eindhoven University of Technology)!
What
An interactive installation presenting five research themes: health, data security, resilient food chain, sustainable production and accessibility.
Why
The aim of the expo was to gather input from visitors about how they perceive the installation and how to develop the expo for the Dutch Design Week in October 2025.
How
Visitors were invited to speculate about a future food system and the interaction between themes by feeding the themes into the plant pot through tubes.
With the input, we found that visitors would like to engage with the installation without needing background knowledge of the project, sparking curiosity through the interaction. Besides this, visitors were interested in the connectedness of the themes and the food system linked to them. With the input, we are going to develop the concept by presenting different stakeholder stories through audio as well as visualizing the food chain to link the stakeholders together!
