4TU-Redesign programme is proud, as we participated in the Dutch Design Week (DDW) in Eindhoven, where we presented our concept of a high-tech urban food system designed to enhance health, resilience, and consumer connection with food production.
Our interactive installation — featuring a “talking plant” — invited visitors to explore how technology can bridge the gap between consumers and local fruit and vegetable production. The exhibit sparked inspiring conversations with people from across the food sector, as well as many curious and engaged citizens, showing how design and technology can bring research closer to society.
The event highlighted the growing importance of co-designing sustainable, data-driven, and people-centered food systems, and we are grateful for the enthusiasm and insights shared by all who visited our stand.
Stay tuned as we continue to explore and design the future of high-tech, healthy, and resilient food systems together.
