The Industrial Engineering programme (IE) pays considerable attention to designing, building, testing and implementing complex logistics management systems. This is combined with a strong personal and professional development course and training of entrepreneurial and networking skills.

The program is organized around a core faculty of design mentors, top scientists specialized in a subfield of logistics, who cooperate with major industrial firms in projects aimed at enhancing the firm's logistics performance. Trainees of the Industrial Engineering programme participate in these projects when doing their own design project during the last year of their term.

PDEng degree

When you successfully complete the IE programme, you will receive a certified diploma. You are entitled to use the academic degree Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng).

Benefits

As a trainee of the IE programme you will be actively involved in applying logistics tools and techniques to a much greater extent than would be possible in industry alone. You will address complex logistics problems from perspectives such as human-performance management, organization and organizational change, ICT, and logistics methods and techniques. It would take many more years to gain the same experience in industry, if possible at all.

As a technological designer trainee you will receive a salary.

Curriculum

The programme starts with a year of advanced training, followed by a major design project of 10 months in a company. The programme consists of 5 modules:
