Conference Theme – Building connections

Our societies face many grand challenges, including provision of clean and reliable energy, design of climate proof cities and new forms of mobility. Given the increasing number and severity of shocks and stresses, engineering resilience in these systems is an absolute necessity in the modern interconnected world. Designing solutions for such complex social-technological-ecological systems requires linking different domains and disciplines. Therefore, our first conference is dedicated to building connections within the field of Resilience Engineering: across different domains and between academia, practice and policy-making.

Join us!

Looking forward to meet you on June 6 & 7, 2019 in Twente!

Kind regards,

Prof. dr. Tatiana Filatova, Programme Leader DeSIRE
Dr. Tina Comes, Co-Scientific Director 4TU Centre for Resilience Engineering
Dr. Marjolein Dohmen-Janssen, Managing Director 4TU Centre for Resilience Engineering
