“Climate resilience key challenge for global energy sector”
Climate resilience will turn out to be one of the key challenges for the global energy sector, says Kamia Handayani. Kamia, who is a PhD researcher in climate change mitigation and adaptation in the power sector, presented her views last week at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP24 in Katowice, Poland.

4TU’S Resilience Engineering Centre off to an exiting start
On June 7th we officially launched the new 4TU-Centre Resilience Engineering, founded last January. We were honoured to have three highly respected keynote speakers: Prof. Hans Heinimann, Programme Director of Future Resilient Systems at Singapore ETH Centre (SEC) and a global research and thought leader in the field of resilience, Dutch Delta Programme Commissioner Wim Kuijken and our own Prof. Tatiana Filatova, leader of our capacity building programme DeSiRE.

Awarding of the call "High Tech for a Sustainable Future"
The 4TU.Federation has awarded a total of 22 million euros to five proposals within the framework of the call ‘High Tech for a Sustainable Future’, thus giving a strong impetus to research into sustainable technology.  In doing so, the Netherlands’ four universities of technology (TU Delft, TU Eindhoven, University of Twente, Wageningen University), are taking the lead in making a significant impact on social challenges in the long term.
