Nathalie Katsonis, appointed Professor of Bio-inspired and Smart Materials at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Twente, will be giving her inaugural lecture at 30 November 2017.

Morphogenesis of Mechanized Matter

Inaugural lecture, University of Twente, 30 November 2017, 16.00 hours

More information on (the work of) Nathalie Katsonis can be found on her University of Twente website and on the website of the Katsonis Research Group, Bio-inspired and molecular materials.

"Our aim is to develop smart materials based on chiral liquid crystals. To this end, we rely on controlling the expression, transmission and amplification of chirality, from the nanoscale (the molecule) to the supramolecular level. This research implies a special focus on light-responsive systems also."
