Humans & Technology
With Professor Dirk Heylen of the University of Twente as its director of research, the Humans & Technology Research Centre will investigate interaction between people and technologies. In its main lines of research, the centre plans to bring together computer science, psychology, industrial and related disciplines with a view to exploring new forms of collaboration and so produce innovative developments for a more liveable technological world.
High-Tech Materials
Nowadays, many technological breakthroughs require major advances in the way materials function. Since novel materials are often the key to innovative and sustainable technology, they are the focus of the new High-Tech Materials Research Centre. By encouraging and intensifying the development of such products in close collaboration with designers and industry, it aims to pave the way for new functions, better properties, more efficient production and longer lifecycles.
The research centres will have their own page on this website soon.
