Van den Berg has previously served as chairman of the 3TU.Federation, until 1 January 2012.
The 3TU.Federation makes an important contribution to the development of technology education programmes and to technology research in the Netherlands. "We have worked hard together over the past few years to shorten time to graduation and boost success rates. The hard figures show that those efforts are bearing fruit", says Van den Berg.
"We have an excellent reputation in research too. The business sector knows where to find us, both to recruit talented technology graduates and stimulate technological innovations. We've joined forces in ten subject areas, and are focusing jointly on Europe, among others. The results will be presented on 6 December at the 3TU.Innovation & Technology Conference in Eindhoven.
