Design United aims to connect  researchers from the four technical universities, collaborate in research with industry and ignite Design Research Debate in the Netherlands.

Design United aims to co-create the Dutch Design Research landscape and connect design researchers across the 4TUs. We invite all PhD and EngD researchers, their advisors, and 4TU design researchers, to meet each other and discuss the latest themes in design research.

4TU.Design United will present the latest design research conducted at the four Universities of Technology in the Netherlands during the Dutch Design Week this October (21-29) in Eindhoven! You can’t miss our exhibition in the Klokgebouw, in the DESIGN x TECH hall.

The Dutch design research community has to continually deal with the ever-changing relationships between technology, society, and our planet. Given these changes, design research is in a continuous state of transition. 

Design United will sparkle up the Dutch Design Week with an exciting programme around design research topics that address one central theme: Transitions.

During the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Design United will present a full 5-day programme of workshops and interactive sessions to fuel the debate around Design Research within 5 contemporary themes of Transitions.
