Researchers from 4TU Design United have conducted inventory studies on safety, mobility, health, water and circular & biobased construction, the themes of the Design Research & Innovation Festival DRIVE. The studies show which research projects are ongoing and what the knowledge questions are for the future within the various domains.

 Research and set-up
To identify future challenges and striking trends in circularity & biobased materials, current studies at the 4TUs and in Dutch practice were inventorised and interviews were held with researchers and practitioners. The focus was on research in architectural design within the categories: material, components and process. This has resulted in a formulation of existing and future challenges, relevant research questions and an agenda for the future.
