Data Management Plan

4TU.Centre for Research Data offers you a Data Management Plan template. A data management plan describes data generated by or used for a given project and states how that data will be created, managed, stored, accessed, and shared during and after a research project. Writing a data management plan can help researchers structure the way they manage their data and reduces the risk of data loss or of the threats to data through software obsolescence over time.

Data archive

You can use the data archive to select, combine and downloadlong-term research data and share large data sets securely from a central point. Depositing research data increases the visibility of your research output by embedding the metadata in repository networks and by assigning digital object identifiers (DOI) to the data. Your research output is enhanced with a permanent link (DOI) in your publication to the underlying data.

Data lab

With data-intensive research, we recommend that you engage us during the course of the project. Together with you, we will set up a data lab. This consists of an environment, whether or not isolated, that will facilitate cooperation on data sets.

Data services

4TU.Centre for Research Data is also approachable for advice and support on data management (data management plan, metadating, data conversion and saving, providing DOIs).
In addition, we organise the course Essentials 4 Data Support together with DANS (Data Archiving  and Networked Services).
