Fulltime program ADMS
The Designer’s programme Architectural Design Management Systems is being built down and stops her activities as of 2016. For this reason the program does not process new applications for traineeships. The current ADMS trainees will be supported during their finalization of the program in order to receive the PDEng degree.
The ADMS programme is developed for designers, consultants and managers in the construction sector with a university education. The goals of the ADMS programme are:
- Further professionalization of the management of design processes for the (city) architectural and civil engineering design
- Deepening of knowledge in the (city) architectural and civil engineering design world
- Contribution to the improvement of the quality of the built environment
The full-time ADMS programme applicants need a Master degree in Building technology, Architecture, or Civil engineering and a certificate Technology Management. Also Masters in Business sciences or Business administration can participate if they have practical experience with building & construction developments.
The full-time and part-time programme share the same teaching modules. Case studies within the programme are carried out in small groups (full-time and part-time followers do the programme separately) and results will be exchanged through discussion meetings.
During the programme the trainee works on an In-Company Assignment (ICA).
The technological designer trainee acts like a junior-advisor during the execution of the ICA. The final report will be judged on its usefulness for the involved company and on the scientific content as well as on the appointed design output level as described by 3TU-School for Technological design, SAI.
